Bruce Downie [Kesho Trust] and Ally Abdallah [SANA] attended a village meeting in Mkange, Tanzania to explain our concept and answer questions about the application to the village for the granting of land on which to develop the environmental education centre that is the focus of a specific partnership between our two organizations. The village meeting is the second of a series of three meetings which will be undertaken to review and hopefully approve our application. The village land being applied for is adjacent to the main road just before the entry gate to Saadani National Park and provides an excellent site to implement the concept we have been jointly working on with SANA for some time now [see our Environmental Education Centre project for more information]. Stay tuned for more news on the progress of this initiative.
