The Winter edition of Leaf Litter focuses on the issue of reconnecting children with nature. Giving Children the Gift of Nature is an interesting series of interviews with Bob Peart, Richard Louv and Stephen Kellert — each important contributors to the nature child reunion conversation.
Bob Peart is a founding Director of the Kesho Trust and founding Chair of the Child and Nature Alliance of Canada. Richard Louv began the US organization the Child and Nature Alliance and is the author of Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature Deficit Disorder, and The Nature Principle: Human Restoration and the End of Nature Deficit Disorder. Dr. Stephen Kellert, Professor Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, is the author of numerous books and articles focusing on the relationship between human and natural systems.
